Christian Weiss grew up in a machine shop. At an age when other children were playing outside in the yard, Christian was learning to make piles of nylon chips on a Hardinge speed lathe. This quickly evolved into a love - and a demonstrated talent - in the world of machining.
It was obvious that the generations of family machinists before him had clearly passed on the skill without even trying. All throughout his childhood, he spent countless hours a week in his father's shop learning manual machining on Hardinge hand-screws, engine lathes, and Bridgeports.
At the age of thirteen his father bought the shop's first CNC. It was at this time that the passion really became clear to Christian. Sitting out a week of school, Christian spent this time learning to program from the Applications Engineer that was brought in to train the shop on this new technology.
1990 - first CNC purchased by his father
1996 - took over day to day operations of his father's shop
2001 - enlisted in the US ARMY as a 15G Aircraft Structural Repairer
2005 - returned to machining upon honorable discharge from the Army
2007 - begin CNC service career with an independent CNC field service company
5.2012 - Weiss Machine in it's current form was re-launched in May of 2012 to service the CNC machine tool industry. By providing expert level CNC Field Service and Applications Engineering, we reduce downtime and increase productivity.
6.2018 - the manufacturing consulting company, Rev4.0 (said, "rev-four-point-oh") was formed. Rev4.0 helps clients with equipment and manpower utilization to increase production and profitability.
When you have used all of the rest, and you are at a loss, that is where we come in. When the machine tool builder can't figure it out, and the 'other guy that is cheaper' is stumped, we sort it out. Of course we would prefer to be the first call, but that is not always the case. We're the best - not the cheapest.
We routinely travel the country, as well as our local Southeastern Pennsylvania region, for special-case troubleshooting in the following areas:
We fix things one way- the right way. If you are looking to cut corners, we are certain the 'others' can help you with that.
From full machine rebuilds, to simple preventive maintenance, we provide the top level mechanical and electronic field service your equipment requires and you demand.
Including, but not limited to:
"Rev4.0 helps clients with equipment and manpower utilization to increase production and profitability."
